A property in Woods Cross, Utah, had several sections of its concrete walkway that had settled over time, leaving the slabs uneven and creating noticeable trip hazards. The settlement also resulted in poor transitions between sections of the walkway, making the surface less safe and less functional. Rather than removing and replacing the existing concrete, PolyFoam Solutions was able to restore the walkway using a minimally invasive lifting process.

Our team used precision polyurethane foam injection to raise and level the sunken sections of concrete. The expanding foam was strategically injected beneath the slabs to fill voids and provide additional support, allowing us to carefully bring the walkway back into a more level position. This process helped improve the transitions between slabs while preserving the existing concrete.

After leveling the walkway, we sealed the larger cracks and joints to help limit water from penetrating beneath the concrete. Keeping water out of the soil beneath the slabs can help reduce the conditions that contribute to future settlement. The finished project provided the property with a safer, more even walkway while avoiding the extensive demolition and replacement typically associated with traditional concrete repair.
