Our Process
Poly Foam Solutions uses just that – poly foam injections for concrete lifting and leveling for home and business owners throughout Northern Utah. This method enables us to provide our clients with unmatched durability, flexibility, and efficiency for stabilizing concrete, sealing cracks, and preventing water intrusion – without invasive procedures.
Our process is straightforward and doesn’t leave you with a huge mess to clean up or ugly holes all over your concrete. Here’s what you need to know about the basics of how our process works. For more in-depth information or to get answers to any questions that you may have, please don’t hesitate to contact us today, and our team will gladly help you out however we can.
How Does Polyfoam Work?
First off, it’s helpful to understand a bit more about polyfoam itself. Polyfoam is a polyurethane resin. Some foam expands, such as the two-component resin, while other foams act more like a permeation grout.
The two-component resin starts off as two separate chemicals. When these chemicals are mixed together, they then begin to expand, reaching up to 15x-50x the size of their liquid state. This is great for lifting and leveling concrete.
The single-component resin reacts with ground moisture in order to create water-impermeable masses that can then be used to stabilize soil, seal leaks in concrete structures, and more.
How Invasive Is Polyfoam Lifting?
Worried about holes the size of baseballs marring your concrete forever? We get it. There’s no need to worry about that with our process, though. While some concrete lifting methods, like mudjacking, do indeed leave big holes in your concrete, that’s not the case with polyfoam. With polyfoam, we only need to make holes the size of a dime in your concrete in order to allow the resin to be pumped underneath the slab.
Once we’re done, we patch the holes over, and voila! You’re left with beautifully smooth and level concrete.
How Long Does Polyfoam Lifting And Leveling Take?
Another thing our clients love about our process is how little time it takes – without sacrificing longevity or quality to get there, either. It only takes us 2-3 hours to get the job done, and only about 15 minutes for the polyfoam to cure to about 90% of its full strength. That means that your concrete isn’t going to be out of commission for days on end. You can even drive on a newly lifted driveway the same day you have the job done!
